Understanding and Resolving Phobic Responses

Presented by Dr. Jon Connelly, PhD, MSW, LCSW

6-Hour CE Credit Training

A One-Day Rapid Resolution Therapy® Training

This training is for professionals seeking an effective, rapid, and lasting approach to resolving phobias.

Rapid Resolution Therapy® (RRT) offers a revolutionary and highly effective perspective regarding phobias.

In this one-day live training, you will watch actual clinical sessions where phobic responses resolve—and learn, moment by moment, what the practitioner does that allows that resolution to occur

  • No reenactments.

  • No summaries.

  • No hypotheticals.

Just real people, real sessions, and clear resolution

What Makes This Training Different?

This training focuses on the observable resolution of phobic responses. Attendees will view video recordings of actual clinical work in which phobic reactions are resolved. Recordings are paused throughout instruction to describe how practitioner communication and timing shape the client’s internal experience and results in resolution for the client. The training emphasizes understanding how changes in perception and internal processing alter the phobic response, enabling clinicians to recognize and reproduce similar outcomes in their own clinical work.

This is a live, interactive, and immersive training—designed to keep your mind engaged and tracking change as it unfolds, rather than passively taking in information.

What you will experience:

  • Lively, clinical teaching that keeps the material grounded, precise, and engaging

  • Stop-and-go video demonstrations of real sessions, paused at key moments so you can clearly see what mattered, why it mattered, and what shifted

  • Step-by-step clinical explanation of practitioner language, timing, and decision-making

  • Small-group breakout discussions to sharpen perception and deepen understanding through shared observation

  • Live Q&A with Dr. Jon Connelly, allowing you to ask questions directly about what you’re seeing and how to apply it

What You Will Learn:

At the conclusion of this training participants will be able to:

  1. Explain how phobic responses are generated and sustained by threat perception

  2. Describe how changes in perception and internal response alter phobic experience

  3. Identify components of phobic responses, including sensation, impulse,  and interpretation

  4. Recognize and identify indicators of direct change in phobic experience demonstrated during clinical examples

  5. Differentiate communication approaches that shift internal processing from those that maintain phobic responses

Who This Training Is For

This training is designed for mental health professionals who want to:

  • Move beyond symptom management

  • Understand how phobic responses actually resolve

  • Learn through direct observation of clinical change

  • Sharpen clinical perception and intervention skills

No prior Rapid Resolution Therapy experience is required. Registration is open to clinicians, professionals, coaches, practitioners, and individuals interested in understanding how phobic responses resolve and how that change is facilitated.

About The Founder & Presenter

Dr. Jon Connelly, PhD, MSW, LCSW is the creator and visionary behind Rapid Resolution Therapy®. His roles as a child protective service worker and clinical supervisor in a program for traumatized teens laid the groundwork for the creation of this revolutionary approach to clearing the effects of traumatic and disturbing events, resulting in rapid and lasting change for participants, often in a single visit.

Dr. Connelly also founded the Institute for Survivors of Sexual Violence, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to pioneering research and advanced treatments for trauma survivors.

RRT extends its reach through innovative training programs tailored for individuals seeking to alleviate suffering. Professionals from various fields, including doctors, dentists, mental health professionals, teachers, coaches, nutritionists, lawyers, caregivers, nurses, and business owners, have joined the ranks of Rapid Resolution Therapy members. They share the common goal of mastering and applying the core principles of RRT to enhance their personal lives and professional practices.

Dr. Connelly is the author of several transformative books. His first book, Life Changing Conversations, showcases the extraordinary impact a single conversation can have in resolving ongoing trauma and turmoil. Grief Is Not Sacred demonstrates how, with RRT, even the weight and complexity of grief can be lifted while love and connection remain intact. His latest book, Quick Shifts, is a collection of 52 short conversations drawn from his twice-weekly free event, Solutions, where participants can volunteer to interact with Dr. Connelly and can experience significant shifts in just minutes. Each book is a clear example of how rapid and lasting change can occur in as little as just one conversation, a testament to the power of Rapid Resolution Therapy®. These books, along with a sneak peek inside each, are available on Amazon.
